Mombasa
Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa is a very good hotel on Diani Beach south of Mombasa on the Kenyan coast. It has some 140 rooms in different categories, with views of either the hotel gardens or the ocean. The rooms range in size from the 36 m2/388 sq ft standard rooms (including private bathroom and garden veranda) to the 228 m2/2,450 sq ft presidential suite. All rooms have their own veranda or balcony, air conditioning, satellite television and Internet. Two rooms are suited for guests in wheelchairs. The hotel has three restaurants, serving international food, oriental food, and seafood and grilled. For dinner, guests are expected to dress up to a level of long trousers or better. The hotel has a number of bars and a nightclub.

Children's pool and spa
A variety of outdoor activities (apart from bathing and relaxing on the beach) are available. The hotel has three swimming pools, of which one is a children's pool. There is diving and snorkelling, jetskiing, tennis, squash and beach volleyball. An 18-hole golf course is nearby.

Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa also has a cinema, a casino, a gym and a spa offering various treatments and activities such as yoga and aerobics. There are conference facilities, an Internet café, a business centre and car rental.

Elephants in Shimba Hills
Shimba Hills National Reserve is situated an hour's drive from the hotel, and has elephants, other mammals and beautiful surroundings. Kenya's only population of the rare sable antelope is also found in the reserve.
